There is much discussion about what the name of God/Creator-God is, and much of it centered around the name of Creator-God the Son King of Kings Jesus the Christ/Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.
Well, this message here is on Revelation of the Heavenly Father’s Name Declared to Us by Kind David, the prophet Isaiah and King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua Himself.
Is Creator-God the Father’s Name Revealed to us and what is it? Lets Take a Look!
Lets Begin Our Quest Into the Lord’s Prayer and the Mysteries of Our Father in Heaven and His Name – Avinu
Luk 11:2-4 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
The Heavenly Father’s Name is like a parable and one of the mysteries of Creator-God of Israel that is revealed to His People.
- Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
- Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
- Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
But First Lets Ask the Question What is the Importance of the Father’s Name:
Here are just some reasons the Heavenly Father’s Name is Important,
- King Jesus/Yeshua Said the Heavenly Father’s name is Holy, he said “Hallowed be thy name”
- The name of the House of God is in the Father’s Name. Jesus Said in my Father’s House there are many mansions and I go to prepare a place for you. Yeshua lives in his Fathers House.
- There is no House without a name. Sovereign authority and jurisdiction over a man’s Realm rests in the man’s house which has to have a name.
- The name invokes the authority. King Jesus said “All authority has been given unto me…” “Now Go and baptize in the name (authority of) the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Both Isaiah and King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua and also David say the Father’s name is everlasting.
- Lord of Lords Jesus/Yeshua says he declares the Father’s name. There is no need to declare the Father’s name if it is unimportant or He does not want it to be Known.
- The Father brings the Oneness to the trinity and everything. That is why nothing in heaven can enter unless it is like the Father, because the Character of the Father is oneness. In John 17:20 – 26 where King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua says that He declared the Father’s Name, Yeshua is talking to Avinu about making His people/followers one with Him and the Father.
Place Not Just Space
It is important to Note that the Lord said He is going to prepare a “Place” for you/us not just a space for us. The original Greek word holds the meaning of a Position or Power not just space. See Below:
“τοπος topos {top’-os} apparently a primary word; TDNT – 8:187,1184; n m AV – place 80, room 5, quarter 2, licence 1, coast 1, where 1, plain + 3977 1, rock + 5138 1; 92 1) place, any portion or space marked off, as it were from surrounding space 1a) an inhabited place, as a city, village, district 1b) a place (passage) in a book 2) metaph. 2a) the condition or station held by one in any company or assembly 2b) opportunity, power, occasion for acting For Synonyms see entry 5875 “
Our Father or Avinu is the Father’s revealed Name and He is the Father of All even Creator-God the Son, King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua:
- Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
- 1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
We can see in what is to come that Our-Father or Avinu equals (=) a revelation of the Father’s Name that King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua declares as well as King David and Isaiah the prophet.
David and Isaiah Had the Revelation that God is our father and of the Father’s Name – Avinu:
- 1Ch 29:10-13 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD (Yahwey) God of Israel our father (Avinu), for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
Lets Look at Isaiah 63:16:
כִּי-אַתָּה אָבִינוּ כִּי אַבְרָהָם לֹא יְדָעָנוּ וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יַכִּירָנוּ אַתָּה יְהוָה אָבִינוּ גֹּאֲלֵנוּ
מֵעוֹלָם שְׁמֶךָ:
- Isa 63:16 Doubtless (For/Because/Since) thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
In the original Hebrew the word order translation is “…thou art Lord Avinu/Our Father” not “… thou O Lord, art our father….” the second “you are/thou art” comes before the “O Lord” not after “O Lord” or partly before “thou” and partly after “art’ in the Hebrew. The word “art/are” in the translation of this verse is a convention of English for convenience of understanding the application of the Hebrew word “ata – alef-tav-hey” in an English phrase, but in Hebrew there is no word for “art/are” and the state of being concept that the word “art/are” points out is presumed in Hebrew. So if the “thou” and the “art” are not split up it reads “…[T]hou art Lord Avinu/Our-father, our redeemer, thy name (Avinu) is from everlasting.”
It would appear Yahweh is the Oneness Title-name for Creator-God, “God of Israel” to the Nations of the earth (Natural and Spiritual Israel), and Avinu is the Father’s Name in His Household for His people to use to call upon Him, through His Son Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Jesus the Christ.
When King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua told us to how to Pray to our Heavenly Father in what is commonly known as The Lord’s Prayer he told us to begin with His Name “Avinu” not His Title-name Yahwey and Avinu. He, Yeshua, is addressing His Family Members and saying you don’t need to be formal when you are asking your Heavenly Father for something in My Name, He is your Father too (See Jeremiah 3:19 below) .
- Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD (Yahweh) our God is one LORD (Yahweh):
- Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
- Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
- Mar 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
- Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
Jer 3:19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
Jer 3:20 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
- Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
- Joh 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
- Pro 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Lets Look at Isaiah 64:8
- Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Yahwey – יְהוָה
Avinu/Our-father -אָבִינוּ
In Isa 63:16 above Isaiah says Our-Father/Avinu ‘s name is everlasting and Jesus/Yeshua says the Father’s name is forever (everlasting) in the Lord’s prayer.
Mat 6:9 – 13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
In Isa 63:16 ” Isaiah does not say in the Hebrew order of the words “art” in between “LORD” and “our father,” (as mentioned above there is no word for “art/are” the word is presumend) but the word for the phrase “thou art” is placed before the word Lord and the words O “Lord” and “Our Father” are back to back, “Lord Our Father.”
In Isa 64:8 where it says “O LORD, thou art our father” in the Hebrew order of the words the word translated into the English phrase “thou are” is not placed in between the Hebrew words for “Lord” and “Our-Father” but the Hebrew word for “thou art” is placed after the words “Lord Our-Father.” So the original order of the words is “Lord Our-Father thou art;” This is not great sounding in English thinking but this is the order of the words in this Hebrew text.
Jesus Told us to Pray to The Father by Name Avinu and Hallow His Name:
- Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
- Luk 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Paul In the Introduction for most of his epistles he refered to the Father both by His Title God/Creator-God and His name Our-Father/Avinu, just as he refers to our Lord by His Title “Lord” and His name Yeshua Ha’Mashiach
- 1Co 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ..
- Rom 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

- 1Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 1Th 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
- 1Th 3:11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
- 2Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
- 2Th 1:2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Father’s Name is “Our Father” or in Hebrew Avinu: אבינו
Similar Types of Names:
Father of Generosity,
אבינדב ‘Abiynadab {ab-ee-naw-dawb’} from 01 and 05068;; n pr m AV – Abinadab 12; 12 Abinadab = “my father is noble” or “my father is willing” 1) a man of Gibeah who sheltered the ark 2) second son of Jesse, David’s older brother 3) a son of Saul, slain with him by the Philistines

Avinu the Father’s Name in Hebrew contain three other Hebrew words that Have meanings and five Hebrew letters that have meaning or concepts behind them.
- 1. The first word in the Father’s name is av = father
- 2. In the Middle of God’s Name is the word Between/Midst/Within
- בין beyn {bane} (sometimes in the pl. masc. or fem.) properly, the constructive form of an otherwise unused noun from 0995; TWOT – 239a; subst m (always used as a prep) AV – between, betwixt, asunder, within, between, out of, from; 32 1) between, among, in the midst of (with other preps), from between
- 3. The third word is enu = our/us
- A) av = father – אָבִ
- B) beyn = among/within/between (Parallels Immanuel – God With Us – a name for King of Kings Yeshua) – בִינ
- C) enu = our/us – ינוּ
As we can see the name for the Father which is in Heaven parallels the name given Creator-God the Son who walked among us.
Our-Father or in Hebrew Avinu when breaking it down to three words contained within Avinu, the words have a meaning of or like “Father Within the Midst of Us” and Immanuel a name for Creator-God the Son means “God With Us.” So the two names mirror one another, one for the Father and one for the Son.
King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua said he declared the Father’s name in John 17:26. I can find only one time he vocally declared the Father’s name Avinu. But he also declared the Father’s name by walking among us in the manner of being Immanuel – God With Us.
King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua told his disciples in John 14:8-10 if you have seen me you have seen the Father. So King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua’s whole life was a declaration of the Father and His name. King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua walking among man on this earth is the express image of the person of Avinu the Father Within the Midst of Us.
- Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
- Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
- Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
- Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
So Immanuel is the perfect image of the invisible Creator-God Avinu, Our-father walking among us. Paul said in Col 2:9 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
- Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
- Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
- Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
- Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
- Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
- Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The Father is the Creator Life Giver holding all things together and walked among us in the person of His Son and now lives among us in the person of Holy Spirit. The concepts for the letters of His name are:
- Alef = Number One Leader and Power
- Bet = in the House ( the Father is the Number One Power in the House)
- Yood = Creator and Maker (he is the potter we are the Clay as Isaiah says)
- Nun/noon = Life (The Spirit of God is Life Giving,)
- Vav/Waw = Joining/Adding/Securing – Holding together all things. Vav brings with it the concept of a nail which is a reference to the Cross of Christ.
Now, when taking a deeper look into Our Heavenly Father’s Name, Avinu, and after removing the yood and vav consonant letters which are here being used as vowels or what is called “matres lectionis.” we find that the Hebrew root consonants of the word/Name is alef-bet-noon אבן . The letters “alef-bet-noon” אבן make up the consonants for the word “Stone” in Hebrew.
This becomes a triconsonantal root/tri-radical/three consonants, root for the Name Our-Father/Avinu. Also we find that the letters for the word Stone make up two other words in Hebrew, the words “Father” – “alef-bet* אב and yes “Son” “bet-noon” בן .
All these words in Our-Father’s Name are central to His, Creator-God, work on this earth and to our salvation.
Further, here are some Related or Close Names that use the Same Hebrew Letters:
Abi = My Father – alef-bet-yood – אבי ‘Abiy {ab-ee’} from 01;; n pr f AV – Abi 1; 1 Abi = “my father” 1) mother of Hezekiah (cf 029)
Beno = His Son = bet-noon-vav – בנו
Beninu = Our Son – bet-noon-yood-noon-vav – בנינו Beniynuw {ben-ee-noo’} probably from 01121 with pron. suff.;; n pr m AV – Beninu 1; 1 Beninu = “our son” 1) a returning Levite exile who sealed the covenant with Nehemiah
Also remember the Heavenly Father said that Judah and Israel will call Him My Father, and we are the spiritual house of Israel of promise as Paul said. My Father – אבי ‘Abiy {ab-ee’} is a word included in the Name Our-Father – Avinu. So when His child/son says Avinu he is saying “My Father” – אבי ‘Abiy {ab-ee’} as “His son/(you)” – בנו Beno (b’no); Or in “His Son/Yeshua,” the only begotten Son of Creator-God.
The mater lectionis ” yood – י ” vowel being used in the first word “Abi – My Father” and the mater lectionis ” vav – ו ” vowel being used in the second word “Beno – His son/(you) or His Son/Yeshua.” The consonant ” bet – ב ” which means “in,” “with/by means of,” or “by,” and the concept behind the letter is “house or tent,” this “bet” letter/consonant is used in both words, stressing that you as his child are praying to the Heavenly Father and even using His name by, in, and by means of “His Son.”
So when his child says Avinu he is saying “My Father” which is included in the word Our Father/Avinu; therefore, his child when saying Avinu is saying My Father-Our Father both at the same time.
- Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
- Jer 3:19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
- Rom 9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
- Rom 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
- Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
- Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
- Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
- Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
- Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
- Rom 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
- Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
- Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
- Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
- Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
- Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
- Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
- Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
- Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
So when we pray to Avinu as the Spiritual Israel of Promise we are walking out the Scripture that says we will call Creator-God “My Father” as King Jesus/Yeshua called Him many times.
- Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
- Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
- Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
- Mat 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
- Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
- Mat 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
- Mat 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
In the Bible many times names mirror the dominant character or state of being of the thing or the one bearing the name.
The Lord/Yahwey changes names of people for this reason at times. 1) He changed Abram’s name, Abram = “exalted father, to Abraham “father of a multitude” or “chief of multitude” because he would be the father of the great nation of Israel, Creator God’s People. 2) He changed Jacob’s name, Jacob = “heel holder” or “supplanter” to Israel = “God prevails” the second name for Jacob given to him by God after his wrestling with the angel at Peniel. 3) King Jesus/Yeshua changed Simon’s name, Simon is of Hebrew origin “Simeon or Shimeon” = “heard” to Peter = Va rock or a stone. 4) Yahwey changed Sarai’s name, Sarai = “princess” to Sarah = “noblewoman” because He said “kings of people shall be of her.”
Also, Adam named his wife Eve, Eve = “life” or “living” because her state of being is she was the mother of all living.
- Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
- Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
- Mar 3:16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;
- Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
- Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
- Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
- Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
In the Holy Bible “The Word of God.” It is customary to have a name match a dominant characteristic or state of being of the one with the name. In like manner Yahwey has revealed to His People a Name for Himself to call upon Him by which mirrors the fact that His state of being is that He is Father of All things and especially His People.
Yahwey’s Name denotes his state of being. When Moses asked who he should say sent him to free the people of Israel from the bondage of Egypt. Yahwey answered with a statement of His state of being “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” So it is with His Name; it mirrors His state of being the Father of His People.
Now lets look at Scriptures on Christ/Ha’Mashiach as the “Stone” and Rock ( the word “Rock” is a different Hebrew word than “Stone” and “Stone” is our main focus here, but “Rock” carries the same theme) of our salvation:
- Psa 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
- Isa 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Isa 8:15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
- Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
- Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
- Mar 12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
- Luk 20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
- Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
- Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
- 1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
- 1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
- 1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
- 1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Above Isa 8:14 Reveals this “Stone” is the “Rock” Of Offence – This Rock Is the Rock of Our Salvation Also (Again Rock is a different word but carries the same theme as “Stone”:
- Deu 32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
- 2Sa 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
- 2Sa 22:47 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

Christ is the Son בן Over His Own House Which is the Father’s House (Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:) and that House is Built with us His Sons:
As Creator-God purposed in 1Kings 5:5 that David’s son build the House unto Him so He has per Hebrews 3:6 and Hebrews 1:8 ( and 1Pe 2:5 above) Ordained that His only begotten Son be the Builder of His Spiritual House (see 1Pe 2:5 above ) and it be built on and with His Sons .
- Heb 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
- Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
- 1Ki 5:5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
- Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
- Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
- Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
- Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
- Heb 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
So ultimately we can see that the name Avinu for Our Father which is in Heaven within the Lord’s prayer carries multiple meanings. One meaning is the word/Name 1) “Our-Father,” 2) then it contains three words “av – אָבִ ” ” beyn – בִינ ” and ” enu – ינוּ ” which renders a meaning like “Father Within the Midst of Us,” and, 3) the letters “alef-bet-noon” אבן make up the three root consonants of Avinu and they make up the word “Stone,” Creator-God being the Rock of our Salvation, and, 4) then those three consonants break down to two – two consonant words “Father – av – אָבִ ” and “Son – ben – בן “ and, 5) when His child/son (presumably you are his child) says Avinu he is saying “My Father” – אבי ‘Abiy {ab-ee’} as “His son/you” – בנו Beno (b’no), and he is saying it by – ב, in, and by means of His Son/Yeshua and, 6) then (see above) the Hebrew letters for Avinu all spell out the Character and Nature of Yahwey – יְהוָה Avinu/Our-father – אָבִינוּ.
If you are like me you would have expected Creator-God the Father’s Name to be some Big, Unique, Regal, Majestic, Important Sounding Word/Name. But the Heavenly Father’s name revealed here is that of the Loving, caring, intimate Father of all his creation that He is.
In studying this what I have found is that Creator-God’s ways are not man’s ways His thoughts not our thoughts. His Word Says,
- 1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
- Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
- Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Again, the Heavenly Father’s Name is like a parable and one of the mysteries of the Creator-God of Israel that is revealed to His People.
- Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua said to his people in Mar 4:11 – 12 “… Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”
- 1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
- 1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
- 1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
- 1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
His Name is like a pearl of great price hidden in plain sight!
- Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
- Mat 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Creator-God the Father through His Son walked with man, and now both the Father and Son by their One Life Giving Spirit abide with us today and forever.
- Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
- Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
- Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
- Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
- Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
- 2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
- Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
- Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
- Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
- Joh 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
- Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The Lord has Created man To walk with Him, and that is to be with Him. From the beginning Adam walked with Creator-God which was His intent for man, but Adam fell. And then Enoch walked with Creator-God and Enoch was taken and saw not death.
In like manner Creator-God Our-Father/Avinu will have a people that will walk with Him and never die, but live with Him forever.
To walk with Creator-God and love and serve him with all your heart and soul is what King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua says is the first and greatest commandment. That is what it is all about, to love and serve him with all your heart is to walk with Our-father and be one with Him.
- Deu 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
- Jos 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- 1Ki 8:23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
- 2Ch 6:14 And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
- 2Ch 34:31 And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
- Mic 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
- Rev 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
We started this quest regarding the Heavenly Father’s name with a question. Why is the Father’s Name important?
As was mentioned a house, in this case Creator-God’s House, and its power and authority is placed under a name, in this case Creator-God the Father’s Name.
Authority on this earth began with a man’s house, the first Adam unto death, and All Authority will end with a man’s house the Second Adam’s House which is His Father’s House, Our-Father’s/Avinu’s House unto life eternal for all those who believe.
- 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
As the time for our Lord’s return grows near, the House that will be recognized as the Number One House in the heavens and earth (if not the only house at His return) is being put in Order. And the things pertaining to Creator-God’s House and His Authority (and of course a House is in a Name) those things are becoming clearer and clearer for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.
And just as King of Kings Jesus/Yeshua humbled himself to the death of the cross the Father in His Word has humbled His Name to the exercise of all power through the Name Above Every Name, the Name of Jesus Christ/Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.
- Phi 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
- Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
- Phi 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
- Phi 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
- Phi 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
- Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
- Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
- Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
- Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
- Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
- Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
- Joh 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
- Joh 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
And just as the Father is placing all powers under His Son’s Name so will the Son subject all the Authority given to His Name under Our Father Which is in Heaven. So it is important to know the name of the Father of the house where all Power and Authority in Heaven and earth will be placed, the House of Avinu – Our-Father.
- 1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
- 1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
- 1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
- 1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
- 1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
- 1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
As the world and even the church seem to get more and more out of order the ecclesia of God, the qahal (Hebrew for Assembly or Congregation) remnant of His people should band together in Love and Fellowship crying out in faith for His return and Order to come.
- Luk 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
- Luk 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Even So Come Lord Jesus/Yeshua
- Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Pray Our-Father/Avinu be with us His People
In Christ – as He is so are we in this world – 1 John 4:17
